Five hours is usually enough for Downtown Dubai, the Burj Khalifa area and the old souks by the Creek. Ten hours covers a day trip to Abu Dhabi and back, including the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. You can book any length from 3 to 12 hours online, and every hour costs the same hourly rate.
How it compares with a taxi or a rental car
A taxi is cheaper for a single short ride, but you start a new meter at every stop. A rental car needs a deposit and leaves you to deal with Salik tolls, parking and fines. A car with a driver has one price agreed in advance, per vehicle and not per person.
